It is always interesting knowing that one music has various interpretation on everyone. In this LP, Ummagma brings seven other artists from various genre to celebrate the possibility of interpretation of their song 'Lama'. Included their original version alongside with seven unique arrangements resulting a fresh collaboration.
Theatre of Delays plays the role as the opener of this LP by delivering a heartbreaking house version of 'Lama'. Alexander Robotnick then comes up with a space dream pop chilling out the nugaze original version. Copycat contributed interestingly with a combination of synth disco and rock guitar just before go nogo covered the song with very nice breakbeat slower tempo of indie-rock sound. Irregular Disco Workers turned the song into acid remix house music. Electro psychedelic from Sounds of Sputnik maybe the most rock-related remix in this LP. Floating electronic ambient and rock guitar mixed on the new wave drum pattern. The last remix is from Mind Movies who turned out 'Lama' into a swirling tumbling dance. This LP is closed by the original version from Ummagma which take it back to MBV-Stereolab influenced music.
This LP is interesting. Fresh, creative, and collaborative. All artists who remixed the song brilliantly cover the song without losing their signature on it.
