This Danish band had just released their latest album, 'New Frontiers' on February. This album is still a mixed of up-beat 80's new wave and post-punk music. Resulting a dark catchy nine songs in it.
'Breaking Apart', for example, come up with punkish guitar riff before catchy drumbeats and gloomy melodies costructing a dark dance floor. You can feel The Cure music well-absorbed in a song called 'Alone'. I hope it's not just me who think Jakobsen's vocal style sounds like Robert Smith. Anyway, if you love New Order, I bet you should listen to 'Flushed', a body shaking number with lovely sing-alongable chorus. 'Dead Leaves' is a slow tempo one with deep ambient and one of good guitar line I ever heard. Simple but wide range of sound within.
'Quiet Again' started with nice sampling and post-rockish noise which make this song more dreamy and beautiful. A song titled 'Dark White' is so interesting in song-naming, forced me to push the play button, and I never regret it. Noisy up-beat and one of the loudest track in this album. Listen to how the guitar line, noise, and riff, guided side by side with strong bassline while the drum is flirting with your desire to move your body. After all, this is a fun (in a gloomy way) album. Rich of layer and in the same time, very soul-pumping. I like this, and if you want to know what I mean, listen to their bandcamp or stay updated by give a like on their Facebook page.
