Artist: The Cow Goes Moo
Label: AFA Sound Machine, 2014
I like this album! Okay, I should tell you why here, right? Amalgamated Futureless Artists (AFA) sent me an email informing that they just launched a new label called AFA Sound Machine, which had just released The Cow Goes Moo's album. So, I gave a listen to this album, and, like what I said before, I like it.
This is not a kind of electronic music you find everyday. 'Super Spongiform People' is like a soundtrack for adventure video game. Combining modern and traditional ambient in experimental 9 tracks. The third track 'Monsanto's Lawsuit Day' is brilliant. Electronic tune with a bit of drone noise touch covering the speaking of Monsanto's issue in background. 'Declive' is my next favorite one, funk bass line and drum's beat blend in electronic ambient. You have to listen to 'Sambanimalia', where they explore traditional samba music into a strange dynamic substance to make you dance. 'Cosmic Rescue Plan for Animals of Earth' comes with higher tension, more dramatic, more suspense, yet stil dynamic. They put an epic number - and title - 'Go Cannibalism!' which is full of laserquest shoot since the beginning.
A creative electronic experiment from the band who has very entertaining name. Another my great finding, the band from Cavan, Ireland, The Cow Goes Moo. Trully impressive, unusual, and not-boring. I like this. You can download it free or paid - it is up to you - on their bandcamp.
