Nheap is a moniker of Massimo Discepoli, an Italian multi-instrumentalist who had released previous album titled 'Clouds Under The Table'. He suggested me his latest work, 'Flying and The Silence', ambient music or something I should call it 'pure'.
First song, 'Origin of Water', is an organic and beautiful one. a kind of music you have to listen in a contemplation of earth, life, and every little particle we forget it plays big role in our life. A number to sink deep and deeper as the drum slow-beat guides you relaxing your mind, without any intention to be boring.
Listening to this album is like enjoying a painting. 'Expressionism at Night' is one who crushes the structure of the painting itself to be not filled only by one colour. Like the title, it is a kind of expressionism, experimental, unstructured, free, yet still in the line, easy to be enjoyed. If you love a jazzy approach, 'Lost in A Leaf' and 'Two Types of Awakening' will suits you best. He takes post-rock atmospheres in some of the tracks, like a bit of chaotic ambient in 'Recurring Dream'. If you ask me how to listen to this album in the best way, I would suggest you to go away from your non-sense routine activity, find a river, a lake, a forest, an open air alone, and yes there, is the place you will find yourself in this deep and sole beautiful composition.
