Title: Eldrich
Artist: Julian Winter
Label: Humanworkshop, 2014

Four pieces of beautiful ambient, lovely imagery, covered in an EP called 'Eldrich'. This Julian Winter's latest work is incredible and soft reflection of natural and everything else around. Give a listen to 'Broad Broadwalk', where the electric ambient waving along side the traditional kind of beat. The spoken word within is a plus, an important simple touch to make the whole imagination created inside alive.

'Dipsy Drips' is a harmonization of water. Very natural hearing, yet tune constructing. If any other musicians placed water for ambient, here you find water as an important instrument to produce sound. The next one, 'Random Radio' did the same. If radio sound for you is just a gimmick for intro or anykind, here is the radio played as the main flow-director of the song. The acoustic guitar playing in this song is smooth and notable. 'Highty Hangtime' is driven by guitar riff and cymbal sound. Anyway, the spoken word in this song is very properly placed. I guesses it was taken from a TV show or movie. Imagine those combinations guided by floating echoes creating the ambient, that's what exactly this song alike. My favorite one is 'Dipsy Drips'. This cinematic EP can be accessed on the bandcamp.
